Web Factory Desktop - Window Views

Preview View
Create your Web page in the Preview window. This window displays the HTML source code as a Web page. This allows you to see how the HTML will actually look in a browser. When you open a file or create a new file, Web Factory will automatically open a new preview window for the browser you selected in Preferences.

View HTML Source
Experts can view the HTML code for the current Web page in the HTML Source window. This allows you to directly edit the HTML source code

Note: All menu options and toolbar buttons related to inserting and editing HTML elements are disabled when the source window is current.

Test View
Available when the current file is in a preview, source view, or test window.
Displays the current Web page in a test window, which allows you to see the Web page as it will appear in the browser, and test certain of the more complex HTML elements which do not appear or function in the preview window.

The test window allows you to test the following:


Web pages cannot be edited in the test view window. You must select the preview or source view window to make changes. Only one page at a time is displayed in the test view window. You can navigate through several Web pages by clicking on hypertext links to pages on your hard drive or network, or by using the Test View Navigation toolbar buttons, which appear automatically when the test view window is current. The test view window displays the last saved version of the file. To see recent changes to the page, click the Reload button on the Test View Navigation toolbar.
